Factors affecting mycoherbicidal potential of two indigenous, Fusarium spp. viz. F. oxysporum PR # 12 and F. solani PR # 13 inciting seedling blight and wilt in plants of Parthenium hysterophorus L. were investigated. In preliminary green house experiments, both the pathogens favoured sandy loam soil. 25°C±1°C temperature, 70 per cent soil moisture and 100 per cent relative humidity for maximum seedling mortality. Soil pH 6.0 and 7.0 were favourable for maximum control of this weed by F. oxysporum PR # 12 and F. solani PR # 13, respectively. Keywords
